Nothing is as beautiful as playing in the dark. Join us as we flutter beautifully, weaving magical sounds of blackness through song, poetry, dance, and great food.

There is never a time than now to be more mindful of the power within us. The war at our doorsteps seeks to vanquish us through such abuse as that which seeks to distract us from the power within us. But we choose not to be distracted, to continue in the wake of persecution the creation of our own systems, the letters of our own poems; the movement of ourselves by the effective beats of black purpose.

On February 25, people of color will uplift the community by their own contribution of art, music, poetry, food, and entertainment with an unapologetic blackness that'd be such a joy to behold.

Come with friends, family, or foe! Everyone — all gender, creed, color, and zodiac sign — are welcome 🦋

Hey, I'm Abi!

Started with food in my basement, inviting all budding artists to share their work. Offered stage was also an opportunity for me to share my work, culminating in an underground poetry scene with very little form or critique. What marks me different is my voice and an exemplary energy of self-love. Though black, I am able to bring different races and backgrounds together to make for an interesting poetry night; this is my passion.
