Online Beekeeping Workshop
TEST PURPOSES ONLY! But that doesn't mean we don't have some bees up our sleeves! Our Experience Partner, Marvin Jordana, offers a seasonal experience with honey bees that is 1000% better than this test listing ever could be. Stay tuned for Honey Bee Therapy coming soon! You'll have the opportunity to join Marvin in a sacred realm where you’ll transcend the facts about bees and discover how to connect with the complexity of nature. Safety First: Marvin will cover rules of engagement and teach you how to co-exist with these fuzzy pollinators by respectfully entering their hive in order to observe the inner workings of the colony. Moving slowly, the group will do a brief breathing exercise to quiet the mind. You’ll learn about the bees' life cycle, different roles in the hive, their fascinating social structure and ways of communicating through dance, sound and pheromones. You may even meet the Queen and feed the bees honey. See Ticket Info below for more deets!

I live on a small NZ Corriedale wool sheep farm in NZ and I am exceptionally passionate about sharing my love for wool and showing people how wonderful it is for us a beneficial product environmentally, economically and health wise. I hand-dye, hand-spin and lovingly process the wool that comes from NZ's first type of wool sheep that my husband shears. This is coloured wool from rare breed sheep ,that we are trying to preserve for their beautiful, naturally coloured wool. I have hosted online and in person farm tours for corporate groups, university and family/friends meet ups, School groups and birthday parties online and have hosted various animal feeding, horse riding, wool making and handmade hat tours too. I am a teacher and use humour and human connection to inspire, create fun and laughter and give my heart and soul into my tours & products. I am so looking forward to continuing to host guests from all over the world. Rotorua is a popular tourist city and guests say they can't visit a wool sheep farm easily in NZ or any farm. I offer unique, personally guided and passionately run experiences in nature with animals and natural NZ wool. Pick me and you'll be happy you did:) I love, love, love what I do. I have something very iconically New Zealand to offer.
Meet the Sheep & Tour My New Zealand Farm
Enjoy an award-winning online tour among picturesque farmland. Come and share a fun-filled adventure to meet our New Zealand Corriedale wool sheep, each with their own name and personality, and learn how sheep farming began in New Zealand and our family history. You'll love our lambs and discovering what it takes to become a sheep shearer. Lots of laughs along the way and Joey, our sheep dog, will give you a demo on how he rounds up the the sheep. I'll show you how we shear our sheep and process it into some of the softest, warmest wooly products in the world. Hand dyed, hand spun, and knitted with love and care. You can even buy a souvenir at the end of the virtual tour — a wooly hat to keep you warm in the cooler months. On this popular experience, you'll feel like you are really on the farm with me as its hosted totally outside in the prettiest farmland backdrop with rolling hills and farm animals to enjoy.

Hand-Spun, Hand-Dyed, and Hand-Knitted New Zealand Wool Hat
Join the slow fashion revolution. You'll be the only one who has this unique piece of wooly art. Each hat is creatively made with passion and love from our beautiful New Zealand wool sheep fibre. The wool is all processed by me on our Little NZ sheep farm where we are preserving our coloured Corriedale wool sheep. We care for our sheep, shear our sheep, wash, dry, and blend wool and alpaca together, hand dye and hand-spin our wool to produce some of the best quality wool products available. You can't buy this level of luxury in a shop. Hand-spun wool is an investment that lasts far longer than synthetic materials, it has the ability to trap body heat, absorb moisture and wick it away from the skin, but it's also breathable (unlike synthetics) which allows temperature regulation so you don't overheat. It's beautifully biodegradable and gentle on the planet. If asked, I can create your wool hat to your exact size and colour preferences. Baby & kid sizes are available.
