I grew up wanting to be an artist. My mom enrolled me in my first painting class at the age of nine with a group of grandmotherly ladies who encouraged my budding creativity. I started college with intentions to further my passion of painting. I soon developed a new appreciation for papermaking, metal casting, welding, weaving, and sculpture. My focus moved to sculpture and its many forms. I was especially drawn to the incorporation of textiles in my pieces. I am very excited to be in Salt Lake City and share my passion and experience in papermaking and weaving. I have spent the last...

5 ENB ❤️'s André
Believe it or not, we discovered André's unique papermaking workshop serendipitously in Salt Lake's new business directory. Immediately we reached out to learn more. After meeting André and his wife, experiencing handmade papermaking ourselves, and learning about his story and vision, we were juiced to share it with our ENB community! It's not every day that you get to meet a paper artist; let alone a local expert in your own backyard who is passionate about teaching you how to recycle your old receipts, paper scraps, and even plant material into creative yet practical handmade paper like our ancestors used some 2,000 years ago. Like with everything, the teacher often makes the difference. What makes André unique is that he is passionate, knowledgable, inspiring, and creates a safe space to learn, experiment, get your hands dirty, and have fun gaining a new and timeless skill. This is a great date night idea or crafty activity for besties!

Virtual Chocolate Tasting & Cacao Tour
What is an online chocolate tasting? You might be surprised to find out just how much fun it can be with family and friends! Gather your favorite craft bean-to-bar chocolates, or connect with me beforehand and I'll help you find quality, ethically sourced chocolates to try. Together, we'll go on a journey deep into the world of cacao. Through storytelling and tasting, we'll explore cacao's history, science, health benefits, spirituality, and the process of turning cacao into chocolate. We'll weave together a tapestry that's both beautiful and dark, sweet and bitter, just like chocolate itself. We'll also discover how different origins, fermentation, and roasting styles shape chocolate's flavor, using a tasting map to guide our palates. This experience will change the way you look at cacao and deepen your relationship with the "food of the gods," while discovering what the real value of cacao is all about.
